Biomass Open Origin Standard for Tracking (BOOST) Community Group
The BOOST Community Group brings together stakeholders from across the biomass value chain to develop interoperable data formats and protocols for tracking biomass materials from source to end-use. Our mission is to improve transparency, verification, and trust in biomass supply chains through standardized digital systems.
Purpose and Scope
This Community Group aims to:
- Define common data models, vocabularies, and exchange formats for biomass chain of custody information
- Improve interoperability between existing traceability systems
- Create specifications supporting sustainable biomass verification across international supply chains
- Enable digital integration between forestry, agriculture, processing, and energy production systems
Who Should Participate
We welcome participation from:
- Forestry and agricultural organizations
- Bioenergy and biomaterial producers
- Sustainability certification bodies
- Supply chain technology providers
- Policymakers and regulators
- Academic and research institutions
