W3C provides Unix shell accounts to collaborators who need access to a Unix shell for some reason, for example to generate specifications from source documents using Unix utilities and scripts. Any request for a Unix account must be accompanied by sufficient justification. (i.e., the facilities you need that are not provided by Jigedit.)
Unix accounts need to be requested through your W3C staff contact. These accounts must not be shared under any circumstance.
